Knows how to score, good speed for a front row player. The kinda mate you dearly appreciate going into a tough physical match. Nice disposition but don't annoy this hombre on the field of play.

Explosive first step and outstanding lateral speed--can rock you with his tackles too. Brian is still in his early twenties and holds much additional promise as he matures as a player.

Pete Sweet, Head Coach

Pete is the longest active serving member of the club starting his playing career with old Richmond RFC in 1977. His playing career in the VRU is without peer during his playing prime from the late 70's to late 80's. Pete scored 17 tries his second season with Richmond after moving to the backline! Scored hat trick v The Wester Rugby Union representing the old Eastern Rugby Union in 1983. Was on the radar for National selection in the early 80's but business and family precluded a full effort to make that level. Although, archival scoring was and is not consistent in our rugby community, all his peers agree that Pete was the scoring monster in tries and kicks for goal during his stellar playing career. Pete represented the Virginia Rugby Union in over 50 matches--no one in living memory can match that record. Pete has served in the past as selector, captain , and head coach for our club and brings a wealth of experience and winning spirit to our club.More on Pete Sweet's rugby history-click here.
