Welcome. The Richmond Rugby Foundation is committed to promoting rugby in Virginia. The Foundation is incorporated by the State of Virginia as a non-profit organization and has a vision to develop the best rugby playing facilities on the East Coast. The Foundation currently has title to 9.27 acres of land on Whiteside Road in East Sandston, near Richmond International Airport. The original note on this property was over $60,000. The mortgage is paid off and current improvements lead by Chairmen Pete Sweet include the official opening of the property spring of 2006. 30 foot goalposts are in place and our equipment shed is currently under construction spring of 2007. The development of our property driven by the Richmond Rugby Foundation over the last twenty years has been a saga that has involved many former players. Some have departed and some are no longer active supporters but the legacy remains. Much work and support is needed by our current membership from the Richmond Lions and Virginia Gentlemen to see that our property becomes the showcase we can all be proud for rugby players today and the future. We would be delighted and honored to hear from anyone that would like to volunteer their time or support to the development of our rugby property.
